My true love of literature began early in life, but it wasn’t until recently that I focused on my writing.
R.V. Cassill, in his classic book of instruction, Writing Fiction, say’s… a writer’s apprenticeship isn’t over until his first million words have been written. So my quest began. I wrote articles for newspapers and even became a sub-editor for WOT magazine in Gibraltar. ‘Every writer has to find their own way into writing,’ (Margaret Mahy) and this was my entrée.
I wanted to learn more about the craft, so I embarked on further study. I graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Professional Writing with University College Falmouth in 2012. Now, I am considering a doctorate.
